“In The Rib Caged Summer” by L. K. Thayer

in the rib caged
summer
of brotherly love
we hung out
and played hard

like gang busters
exploring every
corner and crux
with my partner in crime
my brother who
was a few steps behind me
every step of the way
following

as we were allowing
each other to be
who we were
going to be
at that moment

and beyond

we bonded

in the rib caged
summer
of brotherly
love

    wide-open splendor
    being known before we’re ‘big’
    definitions…none!

    May All Beings Be Happy.
