Emily Dickinson

Vanilla Bing

When I sound the fairy call, gather here in silent meeting,

Chin to knee on the orchard wall, cooled with dew and cherries eating.

Merry, merry, take a cherry, mine are sounder, mine are rounder,

Mine are sweeter for the eater, when the dews fall, and you’ll be fairies all.

– Emily Dickinson 🙂

I see no cherry, but I do see a stalk……… Others see the cherry and forget the stalk was there first… It will still be there long after the eaten fruit! Spare the ugly more thought!! Beauty may lay at end of the stem but it has no life line without that stalk~~~~~
