“Strawberry Lace” by Mitch Hicks

“Born with a plastic spoon in her mouth
Cheap lace adorns the table
Finger bowls from fairground games
Plastic strawberry grapes with cherries from moulds
They Sunday dress the table top
A happy world with strawberry lace and a smiling face

Mitch…you set a great table with fine manners and etiquette!
I love the line about “born with a plastic fork in her mouth
and cheap lace adorns the table” I also love the title, “Strawberry Lace!” XXX

Somehow the plastic makes it real.
