Sometimes I think I’m that pier stuck out all alone in the sea.
Not on dry land, yet attached to it.
I spy the waves thru the crack on the deck that I can never touch.
I feel the shoes that walk over me and at night
the light house talks in coded lights.
My mind flashes on and off to mimic the thoughts I send
out to an empty starry night.
